SNS maintains reimbursement for Thermal Treatments in 2023

The National Health Service once again subsidizes Thermal Treatments for the 5th consecutive year, recognizing the impact and benefits obtained in promoting the health and well-being of the Portuguese people.

The thermal waters and complementary techniques have proved to be effective in the prevention, therapy and rehabilitation of various pathologies, some of which are chronic. In order to encourage users to use the Spa and aware of the contribution to disease prevention and health promotion, the National Health Service subsidizes these treatments at 35%, up to a maximum amount of 95€ per user.

To take advantage of this co-payment, you need a prescription (P1) from your GP. When visiting Termas de Chaves, in addition to the prescription, bring the tests carried out with you and our Hydrologist Doctor will define the most appropriate treatment plan for your pathology and according to your clinical history.
