Chaves Thermal Spa awarded Five Stars Prize for the third consecutive year amid unprecedented demand

The Chaves Thermal Spa has once again been recognized with the Five Stars Regions Award, in the “Thermal Spa” category, in the district of Vila Real, at a time when demand continues to grow. The opening of the Aquae Salutem Thermal Complex and the launch of two new dermocosmetic products – Micellar Water and Hair Spray – in 2025 have contributed to this upward trend. The coming months will bring further developments in the therapeutic component.

The growing demand for the Chaves Thermal Spa continues to gain momentum and coincides with a new national recognition. The spa has once again been awarded the Five Stars Regions Award 2026, in the “Thermal Spa” category, in the district of Vila Real, at a time when usage indicators are reaching unprecedented levels. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, more than 14,000 visitors attended the Chaves Thermal Spa, already surpassing the total recorded for the entire year of 2024 and consolidating a growth trajectory which, in 2025, reached a historic high of 49,027 users.

According to Brigite Gonçalves, Administrator of the Chaves Thermal Spa, this distinction and these figures reflect a consistent strategy focused on innovation. “This recognition confirms the quality of the work that has been carried out and the growing trust of those who visit us. It is an award that results from the daily commitment of the entire team and the ability to adapt to new trends in the sector,” she states.

She also highlights the key role of diversifying the offer, particularly with the opening of the Aquae Salutem Thermal Complex, dedicated to well-being, and the launch of two new dermocosmetic products – Micellar Water and Hair Spray – which enhance the unique properties of Chaves thermal water. “2025 was a year of many new developments that further boosted the growth of our thermal spa. We have been investing in a more integrated approach that combines health, well-being and innovation, creating new ways to connect with the Termas de Chaves brand,” she adds.

The commitment to modernization is expected to continue in the coming months, with the introduction of a therapeutic innovation aimed at treating pathologies of the upper and lower limbs. The development of short-duration programs is also planned, designed to complement therapeutic thermalism and meet the needs of audiences with limited time but seeking effective health and relaxation solutions.
